SuperBand 2008 has started!
it was only about more than a year ago that the first superband of Singapore "Mi Lu Bing" is out, yet how many people still craze over them?
it seems so that we tend to go crazy over the bands/singers from SuperBand, Campus Superstar, Singapore Idol only for the period from when it started to perhaps..a few months after it ended?
how many people would actually bother about them? this may seem harsh..but this is reality..
watching the various competitions are only for entertainment..
and people are so forgetful that in just a few months, these shows will be out of their mind.
but looking on the bright side..the competition shows having such high viewer ratings..contributing to the economy and the growth of the country..
here are the 16 finalists from SuperBand 2008:

being the youngest band this year, Synpathy will perhaps be the focus for this year's Superband, having the youngest member of the age as low as 15. Another young group is Wu Ge Ren with all the members aged 17. Tu Zi has proven that girls can be good drummers and dreamfactory proves that mothers can be in the rock band too! =D
There is even a band with violin, seems like there are many interesting bands this year.
For people interested in creating a rock band, here's something i found online.
You don't have to study music for years to start a rockin' band, and you don't have to spend a fortune on gear. It's a great way to have some fun with friends, plus it exercises your creativity and your brain cells too. Learn three or four basic chords and you can play nearly anything. To start off, you'll need some basic equipment and a place to play. Just because you are in a band now, doesn't mean you will be in a band forever. Some bands split up, that is normal. But don't quit your music career just because you are not in a band right now. Get over it, find another band. Whatever you do, don't beg.
